BrightBean Studio runs on Django + HTMX, which is cheap to host. A single small server handles thousands of users. We'd rather give it away than nickel-and-dime people with per-seat pricing.
There isn't one. The code is AGPL-3.0 licensed. You can read every line on GitHub. We make money from BrightBean's API products, not from Studio.
Yes. The hosted version has been free since day one and will stay that way. If we ever add premium features, the core product stays free and the source code stays open.
You can inspect the code, fork it, modify it, and run it on your own servers. If we disappeared tomorrow, you'd still have a working product.
